Family Fun on the Fourth

When we awoke this morning, it was really raining, so we opted not to attend the outdoor church service and subsequent Independence Day activities that we had originally planned to attend. Instead, we had a quiet day at home until Clara, Levi, Amelia and Stephen joined us for our traditional hot dog and watermelon feast. Then we all shuffled off to our traditional fireworks display. Have I ever mentioned how very, very much I LOVE having all of my kids around for activities like this? I thought so. Well, I do so very much love sitting on blankets with all of them, watching the fireworks explode and listening to Charlotte exclaim over and over in her five-year-old way, “Oh, that’s beautiful!”
